Stelae (standing carved stone) at Quirogoa. As well as this image, believed to be of King Cauac Sky, the stones are engraved with a wealth of information in the elegant (and highly inefficient) Mayan pictogram language. The information largely relates to the aformentioned King's prowess - nothing new here. |
